The Hate U Give is a very poignant movie about a girl that witnesses how a police officer kills one of her friends in a traffic stop, and the aftermath it causes on her and her community.

I don’t have a lot to say about this movie, but what I do want to say is that it kickstarted some very important reflections about social injustice that I’m glad I had. I definitely recommend watching it, more so in these times, where racial inequality, discrimination and police brutality are getting the attention they deserve in different parts of the world.
