If you are like me and can’t watch horror movies even if your life depended on it, you’ll be pleased to know that Ready or Not is still on the menu. Although many outlets categorize it as a horror flick, it isn’t one in the traditional sense. It’s more of a gory-thriller-comedy mix that is soooooo much fun to watch.

I’ll describe the plot quickly, because the trailer is much more interesting than what I can say: Grace is marring into de Le Domas family, who owns one of the most successful board game company in the world. However, they have a strange ritual when someone joins the family: they play a game. What Grace doesn’t know is that, if she is unlucky enough, the “game” might consist of them trying to kill her before dawn…

As I said above, the movie is a blast to watch. It has a great comedic timing, as well as enough moments that will make you hold your breath in anticipation. Plus, we get to enjoy multiple extremely satisfying “Weaving Scream” by the queen herself, Samara Weaving.
