Maybe it’s the engineer in me that could never be. Maybe there’s something humanity coming together to achieve a common goal. Or maybe I just like space themed movies and shows. Whatever it is, Away does it for me.

The show strikes a perfect balance between the adventure and troubles that the first crew to ever go to Mars has to face, and the personal sacrifices, problems and mental issues that come with being locked in a spaceship and away from Earth and one’s loved one for almost three years (and you though lockdown was bad…)

Unfortunately, the show which has Hilary Swank starring as the mission’s commander has been cancelled after only one season; but nonetheless, it’s definitely worth a watch, since its 10 episodes are quite a lot of fun and will keep you really engaged with the plot.
