I’m not even gonna pretend I’m not biased here, because I’m guilty as hell of that. I have a soft spot for music movies and I have a soft spot for Dakota Johnson. Mix the two together, and you’ve got yourself my seal of approval (even if it isn’t worth a damn).

I’ll make this one short: The High Note a super light-hearted movie, about a personal assistant and aspiring music producer who wants to prove to one of her idols, which happens to be her boss, that she has what it takes to be the one in charge of her next album.

This movie will cheer you up if you are in need, so if you can’t find it anywhere else, you can watch it on Popcorn Time.
