When They See Us is a mini-series based on the real story of The Central Park 5, a group of black teenagers who were accused of raping and beating almost to death a young woman in Central Park in the 80’s.

This one of those shows that will make you feel a knot in the pit of your stomach after seeing how these kids were literally set up by the police and got their life’s ruined for all those years. I got literally angry and couldn’t believe what I was seeing as I watched how everything went along. And, although it may been exaggerated for dramatic purposes, the truth is a show that can trigger this kinds of emotions and create the space in your mind to reflect about issues such as racisms, police brutality and justice inequality is definitely a must watch in my book.
